Coop4eQuality is a space to think and create. We are a group of professionals who share values, a common understanding of thinking and ideas where social innovation is a language, a method and a capacity. Ability to change and bring progress to the society in which we live.
We are a company of social innovation in favor of human development and gender equality, we promote projects that implement changes and promote rights in accordance with Agenda 2030.
We work to include, in a coordinated and strategic manner, three different approaches under the principle of substantive equality. Our goal is to promote the UN mandate to generate deep impacts, which are both sustainable and adjust to the specific needs of individuals.
Coop4equality works in the field of development and gender equality as two challenges that are inescapably linked, in order to achieve true social change. Our challenge consists of integrating the different approaches, despite their complexity.
There are different handbooks and experiences that document the separate approach of the different perspectives, but our challenge is to integrate them all. We believe development should have no limits in the design, advocacy and protection of individual and collective human rights. Thus, we integrate the approach based on human rights, the gender approach and the intercultural approach in one common approach.
To articulate these three approaches is an essential challenge in order to help give more suitable responses to the needs, interests and rights of women, girls, indigenous communities, Afro-descendant peoples and other population groups that endure marginality or disadvantaged situations, historically deprived of access to resources, and to guarantee their fundamental rights.
Our support aims at overcoming the fulfilment of their needs and at putting individuals at the core of development policies, with the idea of increasing their opportunities. The human development paradigm emphasizes both the creation of human capabilities and the optimization of these capabilities.
The four basic pillars of human development are: equity, sustainability, productivity, and empowerment. Human development believes economic growth is essential, but it emphasizes the need to pay attention to its quality and allocation, it analyzes in detail its links to human lives, and it questions its long-term sustainability. The human development paradigm defines the development objectives and analyzes the most suitable options to achieve them.
As a result of the increasing complexity, due to population growth, it is more and more necessary to explore the conceptual frameworks, the theories of change, and the concepts with which agencies work, in order to achieve the described resolution. The aim is to share a basic support allowing to explain and articulate common distinctions.
